I love gin. I mean, I really love gin. Gin and tonics, martinis, gin cocktails, all of it. Some people say gin makes them sad; well I’m built the other way. Gin is my happy place. From my first gin and tonic to my first dirty dry martini, gin has been my drink of choice.
But I realised that I really knew nothing about gin. Where it came from, how it is made. I started reading up, and it turns out gin is almost as interesting as it is delicious. I have started this blog to share what I learn, about gin’s history, how it’s made, tasting notes and some recipes too. I am not claiming to be an expert, just an enthusiastic taster.
In an act of brazen audacity I have named this blog The Gintress.
To be honest, I never thought anyone would want to send me samples, but it seems they do! So I do accept gin samples to review. All free samples are declared on the tasting notes for the gin.
